The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHİİTA) announces that its mountaineering coach and instructor, Sirkhan Mammadov, has successfully completed another international expedition in the Arctic.
The Hetta–Pallas route, held in the Lapland region of Finland, covered a distance of 55 kilometers and lasted four days. The expedition took place under harsh Arctic conditions, with temperatures ranging between –20 and –30°C, strong frost, piercing winds, and challenging terrain. The maximum altitude of the route, located in the Pallas fells, reached 800 meters. This expedition stands as a clear example of high physical endurance, professional expertise, and team spirit, while also demonstrating AHİİTA’s successful international representation in the field of mountaineering and extreme sports.
AHİİTA congratulates its coach and instructor Sirkhan Mammadov on this significant achievement and wishes him continued success in future expeditions and the conquest of new summits.
