Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association
The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association was established on May 12, 1993, based on a decision of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions . The main purpose of establishing the association was to promote a healthy lifestyle among trade union members, organize leisure activities effectively, and popularize physical education and sports.
Since its foundation, the association has implemented large-scale activities in various sports fields, organizing national and international competitions and spartakiads. Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association also contributes significantly to the physical and moral development of the younger generation, increasing interest in sports, and discovering new talents in the field.
The structure of the association includes three main sports divisions, each of which is responsible for organizing activities in specific sports, working with athletes, hosting competitions, and supporting overall development:

Chess and Intellectual Games Division – This division focuses on promoting chess, checkers, and other intellectual games, organizing competitions, and identifying young talents.

Wrestling Sports Division – This division organizes activities related to freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, and sambo. It also focuses on preparing athletes for both local and international competitions.

Combat Sports and Physical Training Division – This includes sports such as karate, taekwondo, boxing, rhythmic gymnastics, and mountaineering. The division aims to improve physical fitness and foster interest in martial arts among youth.
