Our International Certificates

The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA) is an official member and certified partner of two internationally recognized organizations – FISU (International University Sports Federation) and EUSA (European University Sports Association).

📌 AHIITA has been an active member of FISU since 1999,
📌 and of EUSA since 2008.

Thanks to these partnerships, Azerbaijani university students are granted broad opportunities to participate in international competitions such as the Universiade, the European Universities Championships, the European Universities Games, and others. AHIITA plays an active role in developing and integrating the university sports environment in Azerbaijan through its cooperation with these international institutions.

FISU, established in 1949, is a global organization that unites university sports federations from over 170 countries. Its main goal is to promote student involvement in sports during their academic years and to support their development into healthy, active, and socially engaged individuals.

Major events organized by FISU include:

• Universiade (World University Games)

• World University Championships

• FISU Forums and Seminars

As a FISU member, AHIITA ensures Azerbaijan’s participation in these events and creates opportunities for Azerbaijani students to compete successfully on the global stage.

EUSA, founded in 1999, is a leading organization bringing together national university sports associations across Europe. It promotes social integration and a healthy lifestyle among students through sports.

EUSA organizes:

• European Universities Championships

• European Universities Games

Through its cooperation with EUSA, AHİİTA enables Azerbaijani university teams to gain valuable experience on this international platform and to engage in sports and cultural exchange with students from various European countries.
