AHITA Sambo Athletes Win 13 Medals at the Azerbaijan Cup

From July 2 to 5, the Azerbaijan Sambo Cup for cadets, juniors, and seniors was held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Sambo Federation.

Athletes representing the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHITA) delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 13 medals, including 2 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze medals.

Among the cadets, Ibrahim Aliyev claimed the gold medal in the 58 kg weight category. Nurlan Aliyev (58 kg) and Huseyn Muradov (+98 kg) won silver medals, while Umud Abdulov (71 kg) and Burhan Heydarli (+98 kg) earned bronze medals.

In the junior category, Ali Aliyev (64 kg), Rahim Ismayilov (71 kg), and Murad Samedzade (98 kg) secured bronze medals.

In the senior competition, Tural Allahverdiyev became the Azerbaijan Cup champion in the 64 kg category. Fuad Mammadov (71 kg) won silver, while Abdulla Abdullayev (79 kg), Mansur Bayramov (88 kg), and Natiq Bashirov (98 kg) received bronze medals.
