The Azerbaijan Beach Wrestling Championship among juniors and adults, held at the Beach arena in Baku on July 17-18 has ended. Athletes of the AHIITA successfully performed in the competition and achieved high results.
The results of the athletes representing AHIITA in the adult competitions of the tournament:
Nihad Abasov 70 kg- II place
Ulfat Mammadov 80 kg – III place
Khayal Khanmuradov +90kg - I place
Among the junior girls, the AHIITA team performed as one of the most successful teams of the tournament. The results are as follows:
Yagmur Meliki 45 kg – I place
Gulay Khasmammadova 45 kg – I place
Gunel Karimli 55kg – I place
Maleyka Valiyeva 55kg – III place
Nuray Hasanli 66kg – III place
Based on the results of the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded medals and diplomas by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, the outstanding young athletes based on the results achieved will be involved in the preparatory processes for the Summer youth Olympic Games to be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2026.
The irreplaceable role of the coaching staff in the achieved successes should be specially noted. On this occasion, thanks are expressed to honored coaches Ruslan Shamilov, Elvin Aslanov and Eldar Mammadov.
