Cross the Kura 5 Open Water Swimming Competition Held in Mingachevir

On August 8, the “Cross the Kura?! 5” open water swimming competition was held in Mingachevir, on the banks of the Kura River, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation, and Baku City Circuit Operations Company.

The competition was held for men and women in six age categories. This year, for the first time, participants competed over distances of 350 and 1,000 meters.

Niyazi Mammadov, an employee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHİİTA), also participated in the competition.

We thank Niyazi Mammadov for his active participation in the sporting event and wish him success in future competitions.
