The boxing tournament in honor of Professor Agajan Abiyev has concluded

Professor Agajan Abiyev, jointly organized by the Baku City Youth and Sports Department and the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, ended with the final stage in Baku on December 19, 2025. The tournament featured interesting and intense matches in 17 weight categories. The competition made a significant contribution to the development of Azerbaijani boxing and the formation of young athletes. Results of athletes representing the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA):

• Mir Mustafa Kazimzade – 40 kg, III place (Coach: Honored Coach Vugar Mammadov)

• Tunar Huseynov – 46 kg, III place (Coach: Ruslan Rzaguliyev) * Mahammad Majidli – 50 kg, III place (Coach: Honored Coach Jeyhun Rustamov)

• Ugur Aliyev – 70 kg, III place (Coach: Ruslan Rzaguliyev)

The winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and gifts. The teams that won the most first places were awarded with cups. As AHIITA, we congratulate our athletes and their coaches and wish them new successes in future competitions.
