A chess tournament was organized by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHİİTA) on May 25–26 among the children of members of 13 republican committees to mark International Children's Day – June 1.
The teams consisted of four players each, including two girls and two boys, and competed in a team format. A total of 62 young chess players participated in the tournament.
According to the results:
1st Place — Team representing the children of members of the Aviation Workers Trade Union Republican Committee
2nd Place — Team representing the children of members of the Education and Science Workers Trade Union Republican Committee
3rd Place — Team representing the children of members of the Defense Industry Workers Trade Union Republican Committee
The main objectives of the event were to promote intellectual development among children, increase interest in chess, foster a healthy competitive environment, and strengthen friendships among participants.
At the end of the tournament, all participants received certificates, while members of the winning teams were awarded diplomas, medals, and gifts. The teams were also presented with trophies.
