The qualifying chess tournament dedicated to the Novruza Bayram has ended

The chess qualifying tournament dedicated to Novruz Bayram organized by the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sport Organizations  Association has successfully concluded. In the competition, where 110 participants competed, chess players demonstrated their skills in different degree groups.

Competition results:

Trial competition:

1st place- Mirzazada Ali

2nd place- Asadli Sema

3rd place –Mustafa Tural

IV degree:

1st  place- Rahimov Murad

2nd place – Ashrafzada Nihad

3rd place – Rustamzada Eyyub

III degree:

1st place- Azizli Rauf

2nd place- Kazimli Elmir

3rd place- Pashayev Yusif

II degree

1st place – Najafov Adil

2nd place- Allahverdiyev Huseyn

3rd place – Murvetova Nilufar

At the end of the tournament, medals and diplomas were presented to the winners. Also, chess players who met the rank standards were awarded with appropriate certificates.

Successful performance of AHIITA representatives at the “Compatriot Children” international chess tournament

The “Gompatriot Children” international Chess Tournament, held on July 16-17, brought together children from the Turkish world and created a memorable atmosphere of sports and friendship. The tournament was organized in accordance with FIDE rules with the participation of 6-15 year old chess players from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The distinguished guests who spoke at the opening ceremony of the tournament spoke about the importance of this initiative, emphasizing  its important role in the intellectual development of young people and their acquisition of international experience.

Among the speakers:

*Vilayat Valiyev – Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University

*Hilal Salmanov- Sector Director of the Ministry of Science and Education

*Jamaladdin Guliyev- Advisor to the Chairman of the AHIK

*Fikrat Sideifzadeh- Head coach of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, International- Class Arbiter.

*Gulnar Mammadova – Grandmaster, Member of the Azerbaijani Women’s Chess Team.

The students of the Chess and Intelligence Games Section of the Association of Trade Unions Sports Organizations of Azerbaijan (AHIITA) successfully performed in the competition!

*In the RAPID (10+5) stage of the tournament:

*Zavir  Hajizadeh- 2nd place

*Honored coach- Inara Topchiyeva

*In the RAPID ( 3+2 ) stage:

*Huseyn Mammadzadeh – 4th place

*Coach - Gunduz Mammadov

*Ilyas Ali- 5thplace

*Coach – Maharram Jafarov

These successes have once again proven that our young chess players are ambitious and competitive at the international level. We would like to thank all our chess players who participated in the tournament and the coaches who prepared them, and we wish them even greater success in future competitions!
