A ceremony dedicated to the sports results of 2025 was held

A ceremony dedicated to the sports results of 2025 was held on December 26. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, attended the event. Speaking at the meeting, the head of state emphasized that the number of medals won by our athletes this year has reached a record high.

Then, a ceremony was held to award a number of athletes and sports specialists who have contributed to the development of sports in Azerbaijan. Among the awardees was Yagub Abdullayev, a sambo coach and teacher of the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sport Association (AHIITA), who was awarded the "Progress" medal.
