The event was organized by the Republican Union of Agrarian, Ecology, and Water Management Workers and the Azerbaijan Trade Union Sports Associations (AHİİTA), with the support of the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation.
A total of 40 participants, including 35 men and 5 women from 23 member organizations of the Republican Union, competed in the tournament.
The event began with the playing of the State Anthem of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in honor of Heydar Aliyev and the heroes who gave their lives for the country.
The main goals of the tournament were to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase interest in sports, and provide meaningful leisure activities for union members.
In the first stage, participants competed in 8 groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the final stage. Winners were determined in the men’s and women’s categories.
Men’s category:
1st place – Ayxan Vəlicanov (Dashkasan State Agrarian Development Center)
2nd place – Shahin Huseynli (Agrarian Insurance Fund)
3rd place – Kamran Quliyev (Agrarian Insurance Fund)
Women’s category:
1st place – Lale Hesenli (Agrarian Insurance Fund)
2nd place – Pakize Ismayilova (Agrarian Insurance Fund)
3rd place – Tehmina Mikayilova (Agrarian Services Agency)
Winners were awarded medals and special prizes.
