As part of the cooperation between the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan (AzVIF) and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a new project was launched, which will contribute to the development of cycling in the regions. Speaking at the event, the first vice-president of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, Sahib Alekperov, emphasized that this project is of particular importance for the future of cycling in our country, and spoke about the tasks facing the trainers: "The main goal of these trainings is to support the development of sports in the regions and create conditions for the training of qualified trainers. This is of great importance both for the physical health of children and youth, and for the effective organization of their leisure time. I am sure that the coaches participating in the courses will play an important role in attracting young people to sports in the future and discovering new talents. Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanly noted that cycling is also important from the point of view of a healthy lifestyle: "The development of this sport among schoolchildren and young people will have a positive effect on both their physical and psychological health. The courses opened by us will contribute to the formation of professional personnel in the regions and the introduction of a new generation to sports in the future. In addition, the project will have a positive effect on the recognition of regions. Elnur Mammadov, head of the sports department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, touched on the importance of training new trainers. He noted that similar projects will give a big boost to mass sports in the regions. The executive director of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Azerbaijan (AMADA) Tahmina Tagizade said that the employees of her organization will hold a special seminar on anti-doping rules for trainers participating in the courses, and are always ready to support them in this direction. Trainers participating in the courses will receive both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Special attention will be paid to training methods in accordance with international standards, methods of working with athletes and safety rules in cycling. Certificates will be issued to trainers who have successfully completed the 12-day training course and passed the exam. At the initial stage, this pilot project will cover the cities of Ganja and Sumgayit, as well as Gabala, Guba, Agdam Agstafinsky, Goranboy, Tovuz, Goygol and Gadabay districts. In these regions, special cycling sections will be created in sports schools of the Ministry of Science and Education. Trainers with higher education, selected by the Ministry together with the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan and who want to work in the field of cycling, will work in specially designated places in the Olympic sports complexes of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in these regions. They will receive a salary from the Ministry as full-time employees of the Ministry of Science and Education and will be accountable for their activities both to the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan and to the relevant bodies of the Ministry. The Federation allocated 20 bicycles for each of the sections, a total of 200 pieces. In the near future, it is planned that this experience will be spread to other cities and regions of the country, and the relevant structures of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan will join this project.
