A meeting between young and junior wrestlers and renowned athletes was held at the sports hall of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA)

The event was attended by gold medalist in freestyle wrestling at the XXVII Summer Olympic Games Namig Abdullayev, gold medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling at the XXVIII Summer Olympic Games Farid Mansurov, and Head of the Sports Department of the National Olympic Committee Hasanaga Rzayev.

The purpose of the meeting was to increase the motivation of young athletes, share Olympic experience with them, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

During their speeches, the Olympic champions spoke about the development of sports in Azerbaijan, as well as the attention and support given to this field by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and President of the National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. They also shared stories from their honorable sporting careers.

They emphasized that great achievements can only be attained through hard work, discipline, determination, and love for the Motherland, sharing with participants the pride they felt from their victories and encouraging young people to always remain purposeful and strong-willed in their sports careers.

During the meeting, young and junior wrestlers asked the champions various questions and listened to their thoughts and advice regarding professional sports careers.
